Design Review
MDR - Manufacturing Design Review

Official review, usually by a team or by one's peers, or both, of the most important targets in a program's, procedure's, service's and/or a project's design, or process, thus ensuring the optimum plan prior to the start of project.

With six sigma, be sure to include a capability study as part of the review.

This review should be completed prior to the implementation of the work to be done. Prior the the MDR, there should be a PDR - Prototype Design Review and after the MDR, there should be a PPDR - Post Production Design Review.

Also see Parameter Design, Appraisal cost, and Process Design.
