Critical Path Method
Planning tool that is used to demonstrate
and view the chronological tasks and activities of a program or process
and identifies any possible timing risks and can be used to establish the
least amount of time to complete a project.
The chronological path with the less amount
of flexibility in time could be identified as the critical path. Usually
defined during the process design phase
and can be seen most clearly using a process
map or process flowchart, but may need to be employed as required,
like in a process redesign and the like.
